- As I read through my posts, I realized how much time I spent on them, most of them enjoyable and some of them dreading. My favorite assignment that we did was , while my least favorite assignments were the reading reflections, not because they were boring my any means, but because it was time consuming. I had to plan ahead of time to read the books throughout the semester so that by the time the assignment rolled around, I was ready.
- I think the most formative experience was watching the weekly videos. It was lecture based so I feel like I took a lot out of them, and integrated what I learned into my assignments. The experience I will remember years later was recording my family and friends say nice things about me for the “what’s your secret sauce?” assignment. The most joyous experience was making the customer avatar because I realized how similar I am from my ideal consumer! I am most proud of accomplishing was the elevator pitches, it might not seem like it on the videos, but I don’t like speaking in front of my camera and get quite nervous, so when I finished it and saw the final product, I felt very proud.
- I honestly don’t see myself as an entrepreneur yet, but I do think that I am moving closer to developing an entrepreneurial mind. One that is hardworking, innovative, creative, open-minded, organized, and risk taking. I hope on day that I can identify as a true entrepreneur as I open up my own business.
- I would recommend choosing an opportunity that you find interesting, truly care about, and want to accomplish. The best way to preform best is planning to do the assignments ahead of time, as they are time consuming (mainly— don’t wait until the last minute because it’ll show). To foster this mindset, set goals, don’t procrastinate, and work hard to accomplish them.
Hey Ariel,
ReplyDeleteI think it is great that you have seen growth in your own entrepreneurial mindset. It is cool that you have identified what that means for you - hardworking, innovative, creative, etc. I agree with your last answer, I think it is important to choose an opportunity that one does have an interest in. It makes the assignments easier and less of a chore, as you yourself are interested in developing the opportunity. I wish your app the best of luck as well as you as an entrepreneur!
Ariel, this was such a great reflection! One of the most important skills of an entrepreneur is to be able to reflect and be self-aware. Knowing that you aren't ready is great, because you will then be better prepared if and when the time comes to put yourself and a product out there. I totally agree on the reading reflections, especially the last one which caught me kind of off guard because I thought it was due later this week.
