In
this past semester, aside from this class, I’ve failed tremendously at time
management in my other classes. I’ve been focusing my time on my family, my
health, and (honestly) my new puppy— basically, I’ve been slacking hard and I’m
extremely disappointed in myself because of it. For instance, my marketing
lectures are online and I truly haven’t watched any of them for the past 3
weeks. That’s a huge failure in my book. Now, I have to play catch up and most
likely not get a good grade on the final exam. I usually procrastinate, but
this semester I’ve reached new levels of pushing my limits.
I
learned that procrastinating assignments and lectures only hurt me at the end
and cause a lot of unnecessary stress for no reason. Learning how to manage my
time better is a goal for next semester because of this. I won’t fall so far
behind, I won’t let myself reach this level of stress again.
It’s pretty hard to fail a few quizzes, and embarrassing
(because it’s my fault) to say the least.
This form of failure has caused a lot
of stress emotionally, which led to my behavior becoming very high tense. Naturally,
I’m not a risk taker, but this class definitely has shed a light on taking the right risks in order to succeed. Failing a few quizzes and assignments will only make
me work harder, and possibly change my major to something I am more passionate about.
Hey Ariel,
ReplyDeleteI think the fact that you can recognize your failures and identify the areas you need to home in on is great! Failure is the best way we can learn and teach ourselves. I hope you can find some positive in your failures and use them to drive more successes for yourself! I have really enjoyed reading your blog posts this semester, and I hope they weren't too stressful to do haha. I definitely have to work on procrastination myself too.
Hey Ariel,
ReplyDeleteI can relate a lot to your post, its always disappointing knowing what you are capable of and not 100% hitting the goals. However, I can't relate to you in getting a puppy as well as not being a risk taker. But sometimes stress emotional & academic can only help in the end. Every time I have a massive shortcoming, I too use it as a driving force to strive for better.
